Bio

Tetsuya Fujii is CEO & Managing Director of Lincoln International in Japan. In this role, he takes leadership for both business developments and management of Lincoln International in Japan. He is also responsible for deal executions involving Japanese companies. Throughout his over 20-year career with both Japanese and international financial institutions, Tetsuya has been involved in various strategic advisory assignments including mergers & acquisitions, public tender offers, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, restructurings, joint ventures and valuations. The majority of these assignments were cross border. While involved in transactions across wide variety of industries, Tetsuya has consistently been focused on the industrial sector since the 1990’s. Auto parts, capital goods, chemicals, automations and electronics are his particular areas of focus. In recent years, Fujii has been also active in transactions involving financial sponsors. Before joining Lincoln International in July 2008, Tetsuya was a Senior Vice President, M&A Group, Lehman Brothers in Japan. Previously, he also held senior positions at M&A Group of Deutsche Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). During 2004-2005, Tetsuya led the Japan M&A Group for CSFB. Tetsuya started his career at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB). During his 10 years with LTCB, he spent 6 years in Chicago where he worked on debt financings primarily for leveraged buyout transactions, and cross-border advisory business. At that time, Tetsuya worked closely with the founding members of Lincoln International on U.S. advisory opportunities. Mr. Fujii graduated from Hitotsubashi University, and received a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
