Bio

Mr. Payne has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and commercial lending, and has specialized in merger and acquisition and financial advisory work for the last 25 years. His transaction experience includes exclusive advisory sale representation of public and private companies, divestitures, acquisitions, management buyouts, private placements of long-term capital, asset-based financing, licensing agreements, and leasing. Prior to joining KSCA in 1994, Mr. Payne was a senior member of the national corporate finance practice of Ernst & Young. His previous experience includes lending positions with General Electric Capital and First Union National Bank. Mr. Payne holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Wake Forest University. He is a licensed Securities Principal (Series 24), licensed General Securities Representative (Series 7), Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63), and Limited Representative - Investment Banking (Series 79) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and is based in KSCA's Atlanta office.
