Eric Chen joined Knox & Co. in January 2010. Previously he was a Hedge Fund Controller with Jefferies Asset Management. Before Jefferies, he served as Chief Financial Officer of MICH Investments LLC, a Greater China equity hedge fund. Prior to MICH, he held the position of Director of Finance and Risk Compliance Officer at SDS Capital, a CT-based hedge fund with a focus on PIPEs investments. Eric’s accounting and finance career includes diversified experience in financial statement analysis, taxation, and financial modeling. Through his work at SDS Capital, Eric has gained substantial buy-side experience in privately negotiated transactions and private placements for US micro-cap companies. Eric graduated from Queens College with a BA degree in Accounting & Economics, earned an MS in Taxation from Baruch College, and received an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a Certified Public Accountant/Accredited Business Valuation, and holds a CFA designation. Eric is fluent in Mandarin.
