Bio

Jim Chester joined KBW in 2016 and focuses on specialty finance (consumer and commercial) and real estate technology and services. Prior to KBW, Mr. Chester was with Raymond James (Morgan Keegan) in the Financial Services Investment Banking group where he focused primarily on specialty finance. Mr. Chester joined Morgan Keegan in 2006 after working in New York in the investment banking groups at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he was a commercial banker for a total of eight years with two Wachovia predecessors (First Union and SouthTrust Bank). Mr. Chester received an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a BBA in finance from the University of Georgia.
