Craig McMahen joined KBW in 1989 and heads the Investment Banking office in Austin, Texas, where he follows regional banks in Texas and Oklahoma. He opened this office in 2012, after working in New York City for 23 years. Craig advised on the two largest bank mergers in Texas’ history, advising Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. on their $2.1B acquisition of LegacyTexas Financial Group, Inc. and the sale of Texas Regional Bancshares, Inc. to BBVA USA for $2.B. In addition, he has led or been a book runner on 13 IPO’s in his region alone. Craig received a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University. In 2012, he was honored by being named one of three “Outstanding Alumni” of the Mays Business School.
