Bio

Brooks Olbrys is Managing Director and General Counsel of Ion Partners. For over 20 years, he has advised clients on the financial, strategic, and legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and joint-ventures. Mr. Olbrys has worked on transactions in the US, Europe and Asia with a focus on the software, internet, eLearning, digital media, mobile applications, information services, telecom and semiconductor sectors. Prior to Ion Partners, Mr. Olbrys worked as an M&A banker at DLJ/Credit Suisse and as an M&A attorney at Skadden in New York. He holds a BA in Economics and an MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University and a joint JD/MALD degree from The University of California, Berkeley Law School and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. In addition, Mr. Olbrys is the author of an award-winning children’s book series entitled The Adventures of Blue Ocean Bob.
