Bio

Mr. Roberts is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas Group and leads the oil and gas capital markets effort, with responsibility for advising, structuring, and raising capital on behalf of the firm’s oil and gas clients. He is based in the Houston office. Mr. Roberts has more than two decades of oil and gas corporate finance experience. He joined Houlihan Lokey in 2016 from The Carlyle Group, where he was a Principal in the Energy Mezzanine Opportunities Group. Prior to that, he spent almost 15 years at Scotiabank, where he focused on originating, structuring, and syndicating capital markets solutions for energy clients. Mr. Roberts began his career in equity research with Prudential Securities’ energy team. Over the course of his career, Mr. Roberts has advised on capital formation for acquisitions, recapitalizations, asset development, and special situations, as well as originating and structuring joint ventures, mezzanine debt, and structured equity solutions as a principal investor. Mr. Roberts graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Finance and holds an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar.
