Mr. De Simone is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than two decades of experience in corporate finance, with an emphasis on the valuation and diligence of businesses, securities, and assets. Mr. De Simone has advised companies, boards of directors, special committees, investors, and not-for-profits on valuations, fairness and solvency opinions, and transaction and litigation matters. He has a broad range of experience in financial consulting, including merger, acquisition, reorganization, restructuring, economic damage, complex security, syndication, and strategic and financial planning analyses. Mr. De Simone is based in the firm’s Atlanta office. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. De Simone was a Senior Manager in the Los Angeles office of Ernst & Young. He also worked in the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices. Mr. De Simone primarily conducted valuations and provided financial consulting in the technology sector as part of the technology, communications, and entertainment group. He also focused on healthcare and insurance. Mr. De Simone worked closely with the Americas strategy, Japanese services, and due diligence practices as well as Ernst & Young’s venture capital investments. Mr. De Simone has spoken about financial issues at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, and Stanford Graduate School of Business. Locally, he serves on the March of Dimes Board of Directors and previously served as March for Babies Chair. Mr. De Simone holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA in Finance from Emory University. He has been designated by the American Society of Appraisers as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuations.
