Wendy joined HMT as a Partner in March 2021. She has over 25 years Corporate Finance Experience, 22 of them as a Corporate Finance Partner with Grant Thornton UK LLP. Wendy joined Grant Thornton straight from Oxford University in 1988 and qualified with the firm in 1992. She was made a Corporate Finance Partner in 1999 and in addition to over 200 successful deal completions, she founded Grant Thornton’s Technology Practice and was Managing Partner of the Oxford office for several years. More recently she was an elected member on Grant Thornton’s Partnership Oversight Board. Wendy is a well known and respected Corporate Finance Adviser with deep experience of both sell-side and buy-side advisory. She has transacted across a wide range of sectors from funeral directors to logistics and automotive to real estate, although she has recently focussed on a run of deals in the TMT space. Wendy was voted “Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year” at the Thames Valley Deal Awards in both 2018 and 2020; the first woman to receive that accolade. In addition to the “day job”, she is a Governor at Cokethorpe School and a Non-Executive Director of The Oxfordshire LEP.
