Michael Bentlage holds a degree in business mathematics. Between 1990 and 1992, he worked at Trinkaus Capital Management. From there he moved to Allianz KAG in 1992. From 1994 to 2002 he worked for Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank and its successor HypoVereinsbank. In 2000, he was appointed to the management board of the asset management subsidiary Activest Investment, and to the management board of BayernInvest Kapitalanlagegesellschaft in 2002. Since 2009, Michael Bentlage was a partner at Hauck & Aufhäuser and responsible for the core business areas Financial Markets and Asset Servicing. In February 2017, he was appointed General Partner and Spokesman of the Executive Board. With the conversion of Hauck & Aufhäuser into the legal form of a stock corporation in June 2017, he became Chairman of the Management Board of the bank, which operates today under the name Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe following the merger with Bankhaus Lampe.
