Bio

Mr. Taylor joined Greenhill in 2020. Prior to joining Greenhill, Richard was the Chairman of Barclays' Global Corporate and Investment Banking activities. He joined Barclays in 2011 as head of UK Investment Banking, and was subsequently promoted to run the bank’s Investment Banking Division in EMEA, and then the division on a global basis. Prior to Barclays, Richard most recently served as the head of UK Corporate and Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch. He began his career with Arthur Andersen, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Richard holds a First Class degree in Civil Engineering. He also serves on the Advisory Board for The Sutton Trust, which in the UK champions social mobility, and on the Campaign Board of Historic Royal Palaces.
