Mr. Hafner joined Greenhill in 2018. He principally advises clients in the energy sector as well as financial sponsors. Prior to joining Greenhill, Michael was Head of Energy for EMEA at UBS in London. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, first in Houston, then as Head of Energy EMEA based in London. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he spent 14 years based in New York and Houston. Michael holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an AB from Dartmouth College.
