Bio

John F Lambros is President of GCA-US, Head of Digital Media Banking, a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee and, since GCA’s inception, has been Head of GCA’s New York office. John has been an active advisor to or operator in the digital media and emerging technology markets for the last 22 years, and as a banker has led more than 250 public and private market financings, merger & acquisitions, recapitalizations, joint ventures, and senior and subordinated debt financings. John has worked with leading public and private companies active in the sector, including Atlantic Media, Axel Springer, Dentsu, Google, IAC, News Corp and Sprint, as well as notable digital media companies such as AWL, Buddy Media, Exelate, Innovation Interactive, LiveIntent, MediaMath, Tidal, TouchTunes, and Vice Media. John began his banking career at Morgan Stanley as a member of the Global Communications Group focused on advising emerging telecommunications, media and technology clients. For seven years, starting in 1993, John helped raise more than $5 billion in senior and high yield debt and public and private equity for emerging communications and media companies. From 2000-2003, John was SVP Business Development at Into Networks, a broadband technology company incubated at the MIT Media Lab and funded by venture capital. While there, John was instrumental in raising $40 million of growth equity from strategic investors, negotiated more than 50 different content and distribution licensing deals, and ultimately negotiated the sale of the company in 2003. Over the last 15 years, John has been an angel investor in several technology and consumer brand startups. He has been an active advisor to several innovative digital companies, including Greenstart, a green tech incubator; MakeTime, a CNC machining platform; and LiveIntent, an email and data marketing technology business. In addition, he has been an active advisor to several nonprofit organizations, including the Digital Media Task Force for WNYC, New York Public Radio; Not On Our Watch, a human rights watch organization; the Checkerboard Film Foundation; and the New York City Cyclones Youth Hockey Organization. He is a graduate of Harvard College and received his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
