Bio

Mark Davis joined G.C. Andersen Partners in January 2013. Mr. Davis has over 25 years of investment banking experience and has completed over $24 billion of financing transactions and advisory assignments. Mr. Davis has extensive relationships with a number of leading private equity firms and assists them in acquiring, financing and selling their portfolio companies. Mr. Davis has extensive transaction experience in high yield, first and second lien debt and mezzanine offerings, securitizations, IPOs, secondary equity offerings, exclusive sales, take-private transactions, bankruptcy and restructuring assignments. Mr. Davis has completed transactions in a variety of industries with a particular emphasis in the industrial and energy sectors. Most recently, Mr. Davis was a Managing Director and Head of the Financial Sponsors Group at Global Hunter Securities. Prior to joining Global Hunter Securities in 2011, Mr. Davis was a Partner at The Balloch Group, a leading independent investment bank serving both domestic Chinese and international clients in China. Mr. Davis was responsible for cross-border transactions and spent approximately 50% of his time in China developing relationships and executing transactions. Notable transactions include a ground-breaking $3.5 billion repurchase agreement between a global pension fund manager and China Investment Corporation. While at The Balloch Group, Mr. Davis assisted his clients in closing over $4.9 billion of financing transactions and advisory assignments. Prior to joining The Balloch Group in 2007, Mr. Davis was a Managing Director at Jefferies & Company where he was responsible for originating investment-banking business with private equity firms. Previously, Mr. Davis also worked for DLJ, Bear Stearns, Wasserstein Perella, and Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Davis received a MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
