Steven Becker is a managing director in the firm’s corporate advisory business. Mr. Becker is focused on M&A advisory and capital structure advisory across the energy sector. Mr. Becker has over a decade of investment banking experience advising on a wide range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, debt advisory, liability management, both in and out-of-court restructurings, equity and debt underwritings, and other strategic actions. He has advised on over 30 notable strategic transactions for public and private clients across the energy sector, including ExxonMobil, Encana Corporation, Carrizo Oil & Gas, McMoRan Exploration, Cabot Oil & Gas, Range Resources, Crescent Point Energy, W&T Offshore, Hunt Oil, Jonah Energy, Chaparral Energy, Vine Oil & Gas, Jupiter Resources, PDC Energy, Midstates Petroleum, Vermillion Energy, Enerplus Resources, Eagle Rock Energy, Memorial Production Partners, Templar Energy, Bois d’Arc Energy, Chinook Energy, Progress Energy, Berry Petroleum, Parallel Energy Trust, Oxford Resource Partners, Forest Oil, Taylor Energy, Energy and Exploration Partners, Shoreline Energy and Marlin Energy. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Becker worked at Scotia Waterous in the Houston, Calgary and London offices. Mr. Becker graduated with high honors from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.B.A. in finance.
