Bio

Stephen Worth is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s corporate advisory business focusing on automotive, machinery and industrial companies. Mr. Worth advised Nokia on its €2.8 billion sale of HERE to a consortium of German OEMs consisting of Audi, BMW and Daimler (2015), Cerberus in the sale of Blue Bird Corporation to Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp (2015), United Technologies on the sale of its transportation and stationary fuel cell intellectual property assets to Ballard Power Systems (2014), Fisker Automotive on potential strategic partnerships, its restructuring and on its §363 sale to Wanxiang America (2014), the Disinterested Directors of the Board of Chrysler Group on the purchase of the VEBA’s 41.5% member interests by Fiat S.p.A. (2014), SunCoke Energy on the IPO of SunCoke Energy Partners, L.P. (2012), The Carlyle Group on the sale of Diversified Machine Inc. to Platinum Equity (2011), the Finance Committee of Chrysler Group on its recapitalization, including a $1.3bn equity investment by Fiat (2011), General Motors on its restructuring (2008-2009) and on its subsequent historic $23bn dual-tranche IPO (2010), Magna International on its dual-class share recapitalization (2010), General Motors in the restructuring of Delphi (2009), Gillig Corp. in its sale to CC Industries (2008), and Chrysler on the structuring of its independent VEBA healthcare trust (2007), among others. Prior to joining Evercore in 2006, Mr. Worth was a Managing Director in the Global Industrials Group and co-head of Global Automotive at UBS Investment Bank since 2001. Mr. Worth started his career at J.P. Morgan & Co in 1988. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Worth worked in M&A Latin America from both São Paulo and New York. After 1995, Mr. Worth focused on M&A and capital structure advisory for North American industrial and consumer companies. Mr. Worth graduated with a B.A. in math and physics from Wesleyan University.
