Qazi Fazal is a senior managing director at Evercore, and co-head of the firm’s communications industry group. He has three decades of experience advising companies on the execution of mergers, acquisitions, sell-side and restructuring transactions across a variety of industries. Mr. Fazal’s M&A and strategic advisory assignments in the telecommunications and technology industries have included working with American Tower, EdgeConneX, Equinix , Gopuff, InSite Wireless, and IXL, among many others. Outside of the telecom/tech space, he has been a strategic advisor across a broad range of industries to such companies as Nutrisystem and U.S. Concrete. He also has been involved in numerous restructuring advisory assignments in different industries, including retail and consumer products (Boston Chicken, Imperial Sugar), media (Charter, SiriusXM), power (EFH, Niagara Mohawk), telecom (NextWave, SpectraSite), financial services (CIT, HIP), and industrials (Acme Metals, Novelis). Prior to Evercore, he was with Miller Buckfire & Co. and its predecessor entity, Wasserstein Perella (DrKW). In 2010, Mr. Fazal was recognized by Investment Dealer’s Digest as a “Top 40 Dealmaker Under 40” and by Crain’s New York Business as a “Top 40 New York Rising Star Under 40.” Mr. Fazal graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, earning an A.B.
