Preston Comey is a Managing Director in Evercore’s Corporate Advisory business in the Technology group. He focuses on mobility infrastructure technology, including 5G hardware, software and services, and frontier technologies, such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and robotics. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Comey was a Vice President in the Technology group of Barclays, advising clients on strategic and financing transactions including Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, Getty Images and Spansion. Mr. Comey has over 10 years of technology investment banking and investing experience. At Evercore, his transactions include the successful defense of Qualcomm from a hostile takeover by Broadcom; HTC’s transfer of certain smartphone engineers and assets to Google; Brocade Network’s sale to Broadcom; Silver Spring Network’s sale to Itron; and Tesla’s acquisition of SolarCity. Mr. Comey has a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University.
