Bio

Matthew Basch is a managing director in the firm’s corporate advisory business. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Basch was a director in the industrials group at Barclays and its predecessor, Lehman Brothers, with a focus on the packaging, and paper & forest products sectors. He also worked at Croft & Bender and A.G. Edwards in various strategic advisory and capital markets roles. Mr. Basch has advised on a number of notable strategic transactions for public and private clients, including Ball, Berlin Packaging, Berry Plastics, Multi Packaging Solutions Global Holdings, Pregis, Ranpak, Rexam and Tekni-Plex. He has also advised such select financial sponsors as AEA, Apollo, Carlyle, Investcorp, Oak Hill, Madison Dearborn Partners, Olympus, Onex and Wendel. Mr. Basch earned his B.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
