Jonathan Bassani is a Managing Director in the firm’s Canadian advisory business. Mr. Bassani joined Evercore in 2013 and was initially based in New York, focused on advising companies in the information and media sectors. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Bassani was a Senior Financial Analyst at the CBC, Canada’s national public broadcaster and a Financial Analyst in Kraft Foods’ Operations Finance division in Toronto. Mr. Bassani’s transaction experience includes advising: Galvanize on its sale to Diligent, Nasdaq on its acquisition of Verafin, National Amusements in connection with its merger of CBS and Viacom, Intelex Technologies on its sale to Fortive, Matrox on its shareholder buyout, Nasdaq on its divestiture of BWise to SAI Global, Nasdaq on the sale of its Public Relations Solutions and Digital Media Services businesses to West Corporation, eVestment on its sale to Nasdaq, Major League Baseball Advanced Media on its carve-out of BAMTech and strategic equity agreement with Disney, Thoma Bravo on its acquisition of TRADER Canada, UBM on its divestiture of PR Newswire to GTCR, IHS on the sale of its GlobalSpec digital media business and McGraw Hill Construction on its sale to Symphony Technology Group. Mr. Bassani graduated with distinction from the Schulich School of Business, York University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
