Bio

Greg-Henri Bize is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business, focusing on the chemicals, materials, minerals, and ingredients sectors. Mr. Bize has advised on a range of complex buy-side, sell-side and public transactions, mainly in the chemicals, materials, minerals, and ingredients sectors. Recent deals include advising Mr. Alain de Krassny and Kem One on its proposed sale to funds managed by Apollo; Cementos Molins on its proposed €150 million acquisition of Calucem (portfolio company of Ambienta); Ardian on the sale of its portfolio company Kersia to IK Investment Partners; and Kersia (Ardian-owned) on its acquisition of Holchem from Ecolab. Other select transactions include advising Norske Skog on its $500 million sale to Oceanwood; Egeria on the €485 million sale of Den Braven to Arkema; Triton Partners on the sale of COMPO Expert to Xio Group; DSM on the sale of a majority stake in Polymer Intermediates and Composite Resins businesses; INEOS on the sale of its PVC remedy package to ICIG; and Tessenderlo on the sale of its TPE compound business to Mitsubishi Chemicals. Mr. Bize was also involved in the public offer on Augusta Technology by TKH Group; the acquisition of a 10% stake in Fluxys G by La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec; the acquisition of Draka’s preference shares by Prysmian; the sale of Swedegas (Swedish gas transmission company) to EQT; the creation of a joint venture between TAQA and Gazprom for the provision of the cushion gas to Gas Storage Bergermeer; the accelerated l; the acquisition of Panavi by Vandemoortele; the public offer on Air Energy by Eneco; the acquisition of Bahamas Oil Refining Company by Vopak and First Reserve via joint venture; and the shareholding restructuring of the Belgian utility SPE. Before joining Evercore, Mr. Bize held various positions at Jefferies and The Valence Group. He started his career in the generalist M&A team of ABN Amro in Amsterdam before relocating to London. Mr. Bize earned a master’s degree in management, option banking and corporate finance from the Toulouse, France-campus of TBS Education, where he is still a lecturer in M&A. He is also a member of the TBS Foundation’s executive committee.
