Liya Vanyan is a director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice, based in the New Delhi office. She has more than 10 years of experience providing transaction due diligence and consulting services to large multinationals, middle-market companies and startups across number of sectors. Liya has experience working with clients in Asia and has technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP and IFRS for contract revenue recognition and other technical areas. Before joining Kroll’s New Delhi office, Liya worked in the San Francisco office. Prior to the firm, Liya worked at Grant Thornton LLP in the Transaction Services practice and the Audit practice where she served large, publicly-traded SEC-registrants. Liya’s experience in M&A advisory services includes providing both private equity and corporate buyers with detailed financial and operational analysis within the technology, industrial products, consumer business, education and healthcare sector. She has advised strategic and financial buyers on key deal issues on buy-side and sell-side engagements, including identifying synergies, analyzing and supporting post-closing purchase price adjustments and negotiations, as well as providing forecasting, financial reporting, consolidation and fund-raising assistance. Liya received a B.S. in accounting and finance from the University of Southern California and is a licensed CPA (inactive) in California. Liya is also fluent in Russian and Armenian.
