Bio

Matt Jones serves as Managing Director at Dresner Partners, where he covers the Technology sector with a focus on Software & Services. He has extensive experience both as a Technology Investment Banker and senior Corporate Development professional. Prior to joining Dresner Partners, Mr. Jones was the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at EverCommerce (EVCM), a sponsor-backed software company providing business management software and payment services to small and medium size service-related businesses. While at EverCommerce, Matt completed 15 strategic acquisitions to expand EverCommerce's offerings and drive growth. He led all aspects of the acquisition process including target screening, transaction negotiation, due diligence, legal documentation, transaction closing and post-acquisition integration planning. Mr. Jones also served as Co-Head of Oppenheimer & Co.'s Software & Services investment banking team where he led the firm's coverage of SaaS and application software, vertical market software, security and infrastructure software. While with Oppenheimer, Mr. Jones represented clients in sales to financial sponsors and large strategic acquirers including Oracle, Intel, Avnet, and Motorola. He has over 20 years of experience in technology investment banking, including executing over 75 transactions in M&A strategic advisory, private equity placements, IPOs, follow-on equity offerings, convertible debt, and corporate debt financings. In the mid-2000's, Mr. Jones co-founded and led the firm's Alternative Energy & Clean Technology investment banking team, completing 20+ clean tech related transactions. Mr. Jones began his investment banking career focusing on supporting the capital raising needs of government agencies that provide below market rate financing for affordable housing initiatives.
