Bio

Nicola has over fifteen years’ experience providing corporate finance lead advisory services to a wide variety of quoted and private companies. She has advised on public offers, AIM admissions, private company acquisitions and disposals, management buyouts and the raising of debt, development and venture capital. Having spent six years working within the publishing industry prior to embarking upon a career in corporate finance, Nicola has focused upon publishing transactions in particular and on the wider media sector more broadly. She also has experience of a number of other sectors, including food and drink, business support services, retail and property. Nicola’s wealth of experience includes the management buyout of Faversham House Group; the sale of Tottel Publishing to Bloomsbury Publishing Plc; the establishment of two crowdfunding platforms with BankToTheFuture.com and CrowdMission.com; the merger of Citrus Publishing Ltd with John Brown Contract Publishing Ltd; the admission of The ReThink Group plc to AIM; and the sale of Lion Television Ltd to All3Media Ltd. Nicola regularly attends media conferences and events such as the London International Book Fair, The Edinburgh TV Festival, MIPCOM and MIPTV. She has also written articles for trade publications, such as Broadcast and Media Week. She is a member of Women in Film and Television. Nicola is a Classics graduate of Cambridge University and also holds a MA from the University of Kent and a MBA Finance from Cass Business School, where she is now a member of the MBA Advisory Board.
