Bio

Nick Leonardi is a Sector Specialist in the Advanced Industrials and Healthcare practices at Daybreak Capital Partners. Mr. Leonardi is also the Founder and a Principal Consultant with Electronic Business Development Experts (EBD Experts), a consulting firm that specializes in process and product development and sales and marketing strategies. EBD Experts’ primary focus is on sensor device technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in advanced industrials, medical, automotive and military sectors. Among other accomplishments, Mr. Leonardi has over 30 years of experience in the electronics industry with a variety of companies from startups to Fortune 100 companies, including engineering and product development positions with Fairchild/ National Semiconductor (now Texas Instruments) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Other positions included applications engineering roles at LSI Logic (now Avago) and General Electric, sales management with Shinko America (Fujitsu), and he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CMC Laboratories from its initial start-up to profitability Nick was also responsible for world-wide sales at Tiros Corporation, Director of Business Development at Premier Semiconductor Services and was Sales Manager at start-up company A.I.X. during its acquisition by Alcoa Current industry activities include Chairmanship of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) Conference on Connectivity in Next Generation Medical Electronics and he is on the Advisory Board of the Micro-Electronics Packaging and Test Engineering Council (MEPTEC). Previous industry activities included chair and advisory board positions for the following organizations: Arizona State University School of Biological Health & Systems Engineering and ChipScale Review Magazine, Joint Electron Device Engineering Council for Microprocessor Packaging, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute and SMTA Arizona Chapter. Nick holds a B.S. Degree in Materials Engineering from Alfred University in New York.
