Bio

Alexander Klemm is chairman of Clairfield International in Geneva. He is also a managing partner of Clairfield in Frankfurt. Alex has advised many international and domestic clients in M&A and equity capital markets transactions in the last 30 years. He worked in London, New York, and Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, UBS Warburg, and JPMorganCazenove as a managing director with various client, country, and management responsibilities. Following the buy-out of Cazenove in Germany which he led, he was a partner at Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers and CEO Corporates and Markets. Alex was born in Johannesburg and raised in South Africa, Germany, and the UK. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in economics and politics from Bristol University, an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, New York, and a PhD in finance from Freie Universität Berlin.
