Vijay is a Managing Director with Capstone Partners’ Industrials Team. He has over 20 years of experience as an investment banker, the last 15 of which have been exclusively focused on the Chemicals and Specialty Materials sectors. In that time, Vijay has built an exceptional track record of executing M&A and financing transactions for large cap and mid-market clients in key markets across the world. Prior to joining Capstone, Vijay was a Managing Director at Deloitte Corporate Finance, where he focused on expanding the firm’s coverage of the global Chemicals & Specialty Materials industry. He also supervised a team of banking professionals and actively identified, marketed, and executed relevant acquisition, sale, and divestiture transactions for public and private corporations and private equity clients. His work has included raising debt and equity capital and buy- and sell-side assignments for a wide variety of clients. Vijay also gained significant transactional experience at HSBC as a senior member of their Global Chemicals team. In the time he was there, the team successfully announced or closed 50+ M&A transactions worth in excess of $75bn and raised over $50bn of capital. Vijay is an avid traveler having visited over 35 countries and, with his wife as co-author, a published writer of travelogues detailing their journeys.
