As President of Capital One’s Commercial Banking business, Mr. Slocum is responsible for leading multiple broad lines of business, including Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market Banking, Commercial & Specialty Finance, Capital Markets, Treasury Services, and Wealth and Asset Management. Mr. Slocum reports to Rich Fairbank, Capital One’s Chairman and CEO. Mr. Slocum is a member of Capital One’s Executive Committee and also serves as the company's Northeast Regional President. Comprised of more than 2,300 associates, Capital One's Commercial Banking Group generates over $2.2 billion in annual revenue with more than $65 billion in loan commitments and over $30 billion in deposit balances. Mr. Slocum joined Capital One in 2007 after having spent almost two decades at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) and predecessor banks. His experience spans both Commercial and Retail Banking. Mr. Slocum is an active member of the community and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Safe Horizon, the largest victims’ services agency in the United States. He also serves on the board of the New York City Investment Fund and is a member of the Board of Trustees for The Jewish Museum in New York City. Mr. Slocum resides in New York City and is a graduate of Colgate University with a degree in Economics.
