Bio

John Secor is Head of the Corporate Advisory practice in the Private Banking business. In this role, he advises privately owned businesses and their owners on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and financings, and on important issues at the intersection of the business and the family, helping owners develop capital policies, governance structures and business and wealth succession plans. John has extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, advising middle-market companies on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity private placements, corporate restructurings, valuations and fairness and solvency opinions. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, John worked in the investment banking groups at J.P. Morgan, The Bank of New York and Duff & Phelps. He received a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
