David Casper is President and Chief Executive Officer, BMO Harris Bank N.A. and Group Head, Commercial Banking. Mr. Casper is responsible for the overall performance of BMO Harris Bank N.A. and its subsidiaries, and for representing the bank within the business and civic community. He also leads the growth strategy for the Commercial Banking business and is accountable for the bank’s North American Treasury and Payments Solutions group. In his most recent role, Mr. Casper led the commercial banking business for BMO Harris Bank as Executive Vice-President and Head of Commercial Banking. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2010, Mr. Casper served as Executive Managing Director and Co-Head, Investment & Corporate Banking U.S. for BMO Capital Markets. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating the investment and corporate banking activities of the U.S. industry sector and product groups. Mr. Casper began his career with BMO Financial Group working at Harris Bank in Chicago. After rising through a series of increasingly responsible roles in 1994, he was appointed to lead our corporate banking business in the Midwest. In 1997, he joined BMO Capital Markets, where his primary focus was on mergers and acquisitions, private and public capital raising and general advisory services. From 2003 to 2006, he was Managing Director, Head of Financial Sponsors for our Investment and Corporate Banking group in the U.S. A Wisconsin native, Mr. Casper received a Masters of Management Degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA (AB) from Dartmouth College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Public Library Foundation, the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Ounce of Prevention Fund, the United Way of Greater Chicago and Northwestern Medical Group. Mr. Casper is also on the Executive Committee of Junior Achievement of Chicago and the President’s Board of UCAN. He is a member of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago and a member of the Trustees Committee of the Chicago Community Trust. He is also on the Board of Directors for Sentry Insurance Company and World Business Chicago.
