Stephen joined Bailey Southwell in 2016 to lead the firm’s sector expertise in healthcare services, including behavioral healthcare, facilities and alternate sites, physician practices, and outsourced services. With over $3 billion of M&A and financial services transaction value, Stephen’s prior corporate experiences with large, multi-site healthcare companies, provides him a depth of knowledge most bankers lack as it relates to the complexities of regulatory or reimbursement challenges facing today’s healthcare providers. With over 20 years of healthcare and middle market investment banking experience, Stephen has led transactions spanning many sectors including physician practices, behavioral, urgent care, and home care, among others. Additionally, Stephen has worked in finance at HCA Healthcare, Inc. (Nasdaq:HCA), the nation’s largest hospital operator company based in Nashville. He has represented numerous successful transactions with industry players such as Acadia, Vestar, Seaside Healthcare, Pharos, United Surgical Partners and others. He was previously an Investment Banker at Jefferies, Stephens Inc., and Avondale. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Miami University (OH) and earned his MBA with honors from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Scott holds his Series 7 and 63 securities registrations and is registered with StillPoint Capital, member FINRA/SIPC.
