Martin McKay is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s European Transaction Advisory Group in London. Mr. McKay brings more than 18 years of dedicated transaction services experience in providing financial advisory and due diligence services to private equity sponsors and corporate clients. Mr. McKay has advised on numerous complex cross-border acquisitions, disposals and refinancings. With more than 12 years experience within the Big Four, he brings deep experience assessing key financial and operational business drivers, working capital and funding requirements, synergy and cost savings initiatives and carve-out considerations. He has also advised on numerous sale and purchase agreements and credit agreements. Mr. McKay has led due diligence projects for a wide number of leading European and U.S. private equity firms, including Inflexion Private Equity, Genstar Capital, Paine Schwartz, Tenzing, Marlin, Baird, Equistone, Silverfleet and Sovereign Capital. Before A&M, Mr. McKay was a Senior Director with the private equity transaction services group of Deloitte in London where he served as a core senior member of Deloitte's dedicated team advising KKR on its European acquisitions and disposals. Mr. McKay earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Saint Francis Xavier University and is a Chartered Accountant. He is a U.K. and Canadian national.
