Bio

Nour El-Deen Al-Senawy focuses on transactional and advisory work in the energy sector, as well as financial services sector. Nour’s experience varies from transactional work including mergers and acquisitions, to corporate advisory and regulatory advice. In the energy sector, Nour has been involved in several high-level projects in the Egyptian market, notably advising the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) on the renewable energy Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Program launched by the Egyptian government in 2014, with over USD 2.2 billion in investments. In 2017, Nour helped EETC close 30 projects forming the largest solar park in the word in a single site in Aswan, generating approximately 1.6 GW of electricity. He continues to advise EETC and the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) on high-profile renewable and conventional power projects. Recently he advised EETC (Off-taker) on a 500 MW BOO Wind Project in Ras Ghareb. He also advises EEHC and EETC on mega interconnection projects, to connect the Egyptian power grid across the Middle East, North and East Africa, and Europe. Nour also advises local and international private investors as well as financial institutions on the development and financing of power projects in Egypt. He recently advised major financial institutions (including EBRD and DFC) on the refinancing of 6 renewable energy projects located in Egypt.
