ONG Sin Wei is the Co-Head of the WPGrow: Start-Up / Venture Capital Practice and a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions, FinTech and India Practices. Sin Wei has extensive experience in corporate and corporate finance matters including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate/investment funds restructuring and fund formation. In addition, he has particular experience in matters involving the venture capital/start-ups (including FinTech), asset management, investment funds and insurance sectors. Sin Wei is recognised for his expertise in the area of Corporate M&A and Start-ups & Emerging Companies by various legal publications such as Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000. One client noted that "he understands how commercial deals work and understands the reality of those deals, he knows what you can and cannot do, and finds new ways and alternative methods to solve problems." Prior to joining WongPartnership, Sin Wei worked with this leading UK international firm for about a decade in London, Beijing and Singapore. He also worked in Washington DC and Hong Kong S.A.R. with a leading U.S. international firm and a Magic Circle law firm. Sin Wei graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK and obtained a Master of Laws from The University of Pennsylvania School of Law, U.S. He is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales and to the Singapore Bar.
