Janos Toth is an experienced transaction lawyer who heads the local Corporate/M&A, Competition & Antitrust and Compliance practices in Budapest. János has advised on numerous significant M&A transactions, joint ventures, insolvency and restructuring proceedings, and commercial disputes. His competition law experience includes cartel investigations, dawn raids and leniency applications. János also advises clients on designing and rolling-out compliance programmes, internal guidelines and policies as well as whistle-blowing procedures in areas such as data privacy, antitrust and anti-bribery. His practice includes running employee trainings and mock investigations, and he regularly supports clients in administrative (public and EU) law related queries. János also has considerable expertise in the real estate sector, such as in the sale and acquisition of real estate, project development and restructuring. He advises clients in a variety of industries, such as healthcare and life science, FMCG and TMT, on a range of regulatory and other issues.
