Claudia Chiper is a member of the Banking & Finance and Competition & Antitrust teams and heads the local Banking & Finance practice in Bucharest. With more than 15 years of experience she focuses on banking, finance, and capital markets and heads the local practice in Bucharest. Claudia has extensive experience in coordinating finance transactions as well as in advising international and domestic credit institutions, financial companies, and corporations on regulatory aspects of Romanian law, non-performing loans, capital markets law and financial services. She is a specialist in payment services and has advised credit institutions, non-banking financial institutions, e-money issuers as well as other payment service providers on licensing aspects, launching and structuring of products on the Romanian market as well as on consumer protection aspects. Claudia has also been involved in numerous transactions and projects involving competition law issues such as merger control, distribution agreements, and cartel investigations.
