Managing Partner of the New York office and Co-Chair of Winston & Strawn’s Finance Practice, Mats has more than 25 years of experience representing leading banks, finance companies, and direct lenders in syndicated financings and restructurings, with an emphasis on leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations of private equity sponsored enterprises. Mats represents lead arrangers, agents, lenders, investors, sponsors, and borrowers in domestic and cross-border senior and junior financings, with an emphasis on leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations of private equity sponsored enterprises. He has represented domestic and international commercial and investment banks, finance companies, private equity funds, hedge funds, publicly and privately held corporations. Mats has represented portfolio companies in leveraged, high grade, and mezzanine financings, including acquisitions, working capital facilities, restructurings and workouts covering many industries, including hospitality, media and telecommunications, healthcare, retail, and energy.
