Burke McDavid is a seasoned attorney with a comprehensive understanding of investment management, compliance and corporate law. Continuing his distinguished career spanning more than two decades, he brings a wealth of experience in both private practice as well as overseeing legal and compliance matters as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a registered investment adviser. Burke has experience representing established and emerging investment managers in structuring, offering, and operating private investment funds, including hedge funds, commodity pools, real estate funds, credit funds, litigation finance funds, and other hybrid fund structures. Burke’s experience includes helping investment managers with seed agreements, internal governing documents, and helping clients navigate employment, tax, and accounting issues. Burke has also represented investors in private funds. His diverse background provides a unique perspective and invaluable insights into navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes.
