Marc Porter is a corporate partner in the Salt Lake City office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where his practice focuses on the representation of emerging technology, consumer product and life science companies, and the venture capital firms that fund them, in Utah and beyond. He executes a substantial volume of financings and liquidity events each year for early- to late-stage private companies as well as venture capital firms. Marc is a trusted advisor to executives, boards of directors, entrepreneurs and venture capital fund managers. Marc has been recognized as leading corporate attorney by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the Utah Corporate/M&A category for his expertise assisting clients with high-value financing transactions, where sources note he is “a great partner” who “provides strong counsel on strategic items.” He is also named in Best Lawyers in America for corporate law and venture capital law, and honored among the “Legal Elite” by Utah Business Magazine. Prior to joining the firm, Marc was a corporate partner in the Salt Lake City office of Holland & Hart LLP. Earlier in his career, he was an associate at Snell & Wilmer and Perkins Coie LLP. Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
