Jordan Mcdonnel is a partner at the Austin office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he helps venture-backed private companies of all sizes raise capital and solve problems. He works directly with roughly a dozen companies with valuations of greater than $1B and regularly advises founders and their companies on capital raises of $50M+ (and even $1B+). Jordan also assists others at the firm in the execution of some of the largest venture-capital financing transactions. Jordan has advised founders in many noteworthy financing transactions led by some of the industry’s leading early stage and growth investors, including Andreesen Horowitz, Battery, Coatue, DCM, Fidelity, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Greylock, GV, Index, Innovation Endeavors, Sequoia, SoftBank (Vision Fund and Corporate), Tiger Global, T. Rowe Price, and Valor. An equal amount of Jordan’s practice is advising the promising founders of tomorrow’s unicorns as they incorporate, solve problems particular to early-stage companies, and begin to scale. Jordan works continuously with these same founders, companies and boards over the years as they then confront the specialized challenges faced by later-stage companies. Several of Jordan’s multi-billion dollar clients have been working with him continuously for years. Although based in Austin, Jordan’s client base is representative of the venture capital industry nationwide with clients headquartered in each major technology hub. Prior to joining the firm, Jordan worked in the corporate and finance departments in the New York office of Latham & Watkins LLP.
