Drawing on her experience in government service, Lauren Moore provides strategic counsel on public policy issues, government enforcement, congressional investigations, and civil rights matters. She advises clients in a variety of industries—including global financial institutions, information technology and consulting companies, and accounting firms—as they navigate issues that present legal, business, political, and public relations risks. Ms. Moore also represents clients in civil litigation involving the federal government. Ms. Moore rejoined WilmerHale after serving in the Office of the White House Counsel under President Biden. In that role, she advised on civil rights policy and worked with the Department of Justice and agency general counsels on litigation related to the administration’s equity agenda. Before that, Ms. Moore served as General Counsel to then-Senator Kamala D. Harris on the US Senate Judiciary Committee, where she provided strategic advice on high-profile nominations and oversight hearings. Ms. Moore serves on the Leadership Advisory Council of the National Women’s Law Center. She is a member of the Hiring Committee and Diversity Committee of the firm’s Washington DC office. Ms. Moore earned her JD from Harvard Law School, and her BA from the University of Southern California.
