Steve Herndon Bio

Steve Herndon has represented government officials, companies, and individuals in federal and state courts in Alabama for over thirty-two years. He has handled various kinds of civil and commercial litigation, defended government employees in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 cases and under Title VII for employment discrimination, and handled plaintiff cases. Steve is an AV Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubble Peer Review Ratings. He has tried cases in Alabama state and federal courts, arbitrated numerous cases, and successfully handled appeals to the Alabama appellate courts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve was born in Greene County, Alabama and grew up in Sumter County. He graduated from Auburn University and Washington & Lee University School of Law. Steve has served on the Criminal Justice Act panel for the Middle District of Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve and his wife attend Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama.
