Rory Cattanach is a partner of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP practising primarily in the areas of securities, corporate finance, corporate governance, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, banking and commercial real estate law. Rory acts for a variety of early stage and mature technology, biotechnology, healthcare, telecommunications and traditional economy companies (both Canadian and international) and has been involved in numerous public and private financings and secured lending transactions. In addition, Rory has acted for several underwriters in public and private equity and debt financings, has extensive merger and acquisition experience and has participated in several cross-border transactions. Rory has served as a director of a number of private, public and not-for-profit companies and has spoken at conferences on a variety of corporate finance, private company and commercial law topics. At the firm, Rory is a member of the Students Committee and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.Rory is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School having taught Commercial Law, Securities Law, and Corporate Finance. Rory is teaching Securities Law in the current school year. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Rory practised law at Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto. Prior to practising law, Rory was an economist at Dome Petroleum Ltd. in Calgary. Rory is recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory 2023 for Corporate Mid-Market and Corporate Finance & Securities. He is also a member of Alliott Global Alliance Group, an international alliance of independent professional services firms including accounting firms, law firms, and other specialist services providers.
