Ceri Stoner works with companies in the media and tech sectors across all aspects of their taxation requirements, from compliance to special projects. She’s a member of the ICAEW’s Tax Faculty and HMRC’s GAAR panel and leads the Tech London Advocates Tax Group. Ceri was the winner of the “Rising Star” category at the Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2019 and her forward looking approach has recently received recognition with her work being shortlisted for The Lawyer’s Best Client Innovation Service Award 2020. “I work closely with my clients’ in house teams to support them during times of transition, whether that’s in relation to investments, mergers and acquisitions, special projects, corporate structuring or re-organisations. My ambition is to partner with clients at every stage – whether advising on new ventures or start up structures or investment fund formation or providing technical support and market acumen to well established clients. I’m sensitive to the business costs and reputational issues involved in staying on top of tax developments. I seek to stay close to changes in the tax law and to represent the views of our clients and industry stakeholders to law makers on points that really matter to their sector, enabling inhouse tax and legal counsel to support their business. As the sands shift, I draw on my experience to help clients identify the risks and opportunities posed by a changing landscape.
