and access,
Nicholas Mitchell’s work has recently included success in the Court of Appeal, in proceedings involving an international shareholder dispute regarding the interpretation of a company’s Articles of Association. His clients include companies in the high technology, software and e-commerce sectors. Nick trained and qualified with DLA Piper, working there for many years as a litigator. He has spent time in-house advising on commercial disputes and the re-negotiation on some very high-value IT projects. Since joining White & Black in 2014, Nick has developed particular knowledge of ICT-related disputes. Nick regularly advises companies, individuals and government departments on the resolution of commercial disputes. Over the past six years Nick has advised on intellectual property infringement claims, IT contract disputes, food fraud, public procurement challenges, industrial action injunctions and commercial agency compensation claims. A central focus of Nick’s work concerns complex contractual disputes and he has previously advised government departments and contractors on high-profile outsourcing and IT development disputes concerning contracts worth hundreds of millions of pounds. In addition to resolving commercial disputes, Nick works closely with the commercial lawyers at White & Black on software development projects.
