Bio

Advocate Ora Dvir is a senior partner and head of the Banking and Finance Department at Weksler Bregman & Co. Ora joined the firm in 1989 as a senior partner in the banking and capital market department. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at the Bank of Israel, as deputy to the Bank’s principle legal consultant, and served, inter alia, as a legal advisor to the foreign exchange supervisory department, the Supervisor of Banks, and the monetary department. Ora is regarded as one of Israel’s most accomplished practitioners in the fields of banking and finance, the capital market and securities law, with unique expertise in international commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and the issuance of securities to the public. Over the years, Ora has been personally ranked as one of the Israel’s leading lawyers by leading Israeli and international rating guides. The international rating company Chambers & Partners ranked Ora personally in the field of banking and finance and in banking and financial regulation. The international ranking publication “Legal 500” ranked Ora as a “recommended” lawyer in banking and financing, based, inter alia, on her long legal‑regulatory experience. In 2008, Advocate Dvir received the “Women in Law” award from the Israel Bar Association, for her achievements in the legal field. Duns 100 gave our firm’s banking and finance department, led by Ora, the prestigious ranking of a “Leading Firm”, and BDI gave the department the prestigious rating of “ELITE”. Ora deals with complex legal issues in the areas of banking and the capital market and, inter alia, provides legal advice on banking legislation and regulatory requirements, as well as in respect of large, complex banking transactions.
