Sarah Yun is a partner at WeirFoulds with a practice focused on public law. Sarah’s expertise includes law relating to professional regulation, privacy, non-profit corporate and governance matters and commercial agreements. She represents a broad range of clients, including health and social service professional regulators, universities and other non-profit organizations involved in education, health and social service delivery. Sarah advises on all aspects of governance for professional regulators, including by-laws, standards, committee formation, policies and procedures, and assists with the drafting and presentation of regulations to government from both a policy and legal perspective. Sarah also advises on the impact and application of various privacy statutes, including health privacy and freedom of information legislation. She has provided advice to a number of organizations on compliance with privacy legislation and the handling of access requests. To ensure her clients stay attuned to the changing legal landscape, Sarah provides updates on amendments to key legislation affecting their mandate. She also prepares training and practical educational sessions on topics focused on client needs. Prior to joining the firm, Sarah worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Government of Canada. Sarah comes to the practice of law with an academic background in policy. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, where she was named a Clarendon Scholar and a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.
