Zelda Swanepoel is an expert, and has extensive experience, in all aspects of financial sector legislation- particularly as it relates to insurers, re-insurers, pension funds, asset managers and other financial services providers; and the interplay between such entities and other regulated institutions such as banks, medical schemes, and collective investment schemes. She has substantial experience in advising on all issues affecting the financial services sector, such as financial conglomerate and insurance group supervision and regulation, re-organisations of large financial services groups, partnerships and joint venture transactions with insurers and financial institutions, as well as banc-assurance transactions, remuneration models between insurers, banks, advisers and other intermediaries, product structuring and cell captive regulation, to name a few. Zelda also regularly represents clients in ombudsman complaints, investigations and enforcement actions, and litigation matters. Zelda regularly interacts with the various Authorities on corporate and commercial transactions and litigious matters on behalf of clients.
