Pamela specialises in employment and employee benefits law, data protection and privacy and media law. She advises clients across a range of sectors including aviation, energy, IT, media, manufacturing, retail and professional services. Her employment law related experience includes advising on business restructuring, employment issues flowing from mergers and acquisitions, disputes over collective agreement interpretation, regulatory and litigation for retirement funds and medical aid schemes, disputes over post retirement medical benefits, discrimination law, workforce redundancy, harmonisation of employee remuneration structures and benefits and business crimes and investigation. She has twice been appointed to act as a Judge of the Labour Court and had a number of appointments to act as arbitrator in labour disputes. She has been the lead attorney in a number of precedent setting decisions and many of her judgments handed down in the Labour Court have been reported in the law journals. Before joining Webber Wentzel in 2004, Pamela was a director and Managing Partner of Cheadle Thomson and Haysom, a leading employment and human rights law firm.
