Matthew Gibson specialises in finance and financial regulation. His experience includes advising lenders and corporate borrowers on a variety of bilateral and syndicated facilities. He has advised on acquisition finance and other forms of leveraged finance transactions. Matthew has been involved in the acquisition financing of transactions undertaken by private equity houses as well as in significant financing transactions in sectors such as mining and resources, construction materials, gaming and healthcare sectors. He has advised financiers and borrowers on structured loan financings for rolling stock and marine assets throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Matthew has also advised various South African subscribers with preference share funding.​
